TM International Contest
It is Contest Season again..
It is Contest Season again.. and this time it is even stronger. four categories with six contestants in each, a full day of fun and education. What more can one ask for? oh.. the coffee :-)
On Friday the cream of the cream, the best of all areas in Bahrain will face each other and they will show their best. They will have the stress of who will win.. but we the audience will just sit and enjoy their efforts.
They may think the event is all about them.. who will win... but it is actually all about us.. They came to impress us: educate us, entertain us and inspire us.
Area 34 Contest
It is that time again. Don't miss it. Today is the contest for one of the strongest areas in Bahrain. Six clubs will be competing in four categories; Table Topics Contest; that is impromptu speeches, Evaluation Contest, Humorous Speech Contest and the very interesting International Speech Contest.
The winner of todays contest will face the winners of the other areas for the title of Bahrain Champion in Toastmasters On April 20th.Today is the last area contest. so don't miss it.
Moving Forward
We Arabs have huge doors and obstacles in front of us. Whenever someone thinks of entering a field, competition or any challenge, we are always told that this can't be done, specially if the west had been their first or worse if is it the dominant player. Software development comes to mind but the list is acually huge.
But what is more difficult to challenge than their own language, something that they have by inheritance not only by practice.
Our Champion
Mohammed Ali is Bahrain, Gulf, Middle East and the whole world -sans America and Canada- champion in Public Speaking. In his first attempt after two years from joining a toastmaster club, he succeeded in sailing in the direction of victory through all the obstacles, and 'Cut' his way to the Top Ten, in Washington DC.
