Qualification/Degree:

BS in Building Engineering -equivalent to Architectural Engineering- (98/99) from King Faisal University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Employment / Professional Expertise:

Freelance Consultant
Working as Private Consultant for Al Resalah Medical Center for the design and Construction of the new multi-story polyclinic center. Primarily resposible for the coordination between the Client, designer, government authorities, suppliers, etc. I also desgined and modified many parts of the project to the satisfaction of the Client. I applied and followed up with all the required government permits to start the construction.

Cebarco-WCT
Working with the main contractor as a Building Manager in a team of four managers, I was responsible for the management and contruction of several buildings in the project in the Formula One (Bahrain International Circuit) Project. These include the Medical Center, the Media Center, the Main Gate, the Power Plant, Worker Lodging, the Workshop, and the Underground Tank. I also assisted the managers for the VIP Tower and the Main Grand Stand. My responsibilities included scheduling activities, coordination between the Contsultant (Telke) and government authorities; checking and applying revised drawings on a daily basis, making sure the revisions are within the budget otherwise reporting a variation order, cordination between my site engineers and reporting to Project Director.

Master Construction
Working as a Project Manager, I was responsible for the construction of several projects including several multi story buildings such as Magnolia Tower in Juffair (opposite the Bahrain Society of Engineers) and the Relax Inn Hotel in Exhibition Road among others. Additionally I was in charge of building several prestige villas in Jasra and Riffa. I also looked after several long-term projects in Banoco (before merging with Bapco).

Delmon Academy
Teaching AutoCAD in 5 levels course from Basic to Advanced, 2D and 3D. The course program is prepared by me and designed to be a hands-on training with focus on ease of learning.

Gredeco Ansari Consultants (Bahrain, 11th September-)
Working as a Site Engineer, handling several projects at the same time, such as:

  • Hidd Cooperative Society new Commercial Complex in Hidd (more than BD 300,000 project)
  • 7 story residential building in Juffair
  • A first class Restaurant in Busaiteen (on top, of an existing service building)
  • A mosque in Busaiteen, near Al Abraj
  • 4 Villas Complex in Nabih Saleh
  • The expansion of Fun Land for bowling , and remodeling of the Ice Skating Section
  • Bayan School's new expansion including a sports hall, administrative department and multi purpose hall (more than BD 500,000 project)
  • The new Technical Affair Directorate Building for the Central Municipality in Manama (The round building)
  • A prestige Private Villa in Jasra
  • Al Dana Beach Resort, now Novetel Hotel (more than BD 6 millions)
  • McDonald's branch in Tubli (partially involved)

Responsibilities included:

  • Regular site management, supervision, inspection, filing etc.
  • Coordination between all parties: client, consultant, main and sub contractors, suppliers, government authorities.
  • Coordination between office and site.

United Construction and Contracting Company 'UCTC, (Saudi Arabia, 1st November 1996 - 13th July 1997)
Working in Rush Projects Department as a CAD Operator using MicroStation, on several big profile projects including Hadeed's -a SABIC company- new headquarters in Jubail.
Responsibilities included making, editing modifying all types of drawings: architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, construction details etc.

Ministry of Housing (Bahrain, 1st July 1996 - 31st August 1996)
Working as a Junior Site Engineer with the consultant in the new headquarters for the Department of Survey in Um Al Hasam. Responsibilities included: daily site supervision, work inspection and reporting to Senior Site Engineer.

G.P. Zachariades (Overseas) ltd (Bahrain, 15th July 1995 - 18th September 1995)
Working as a Trainee Architect and using AutoCAD, I work on several projects including, a private beach plaza in Wasmiya, a hotel and Al A'Ali Commercial Complex. Responsibilities included making, editing modifying all types of drawings: architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, construction details etc.

  • Good Microstation working Experience.
  • Excellent working experience in many software packages, including: MS Office, Adobe software, Open Office etc.
  • Familiar with most widely available software packages
  • Good programing logic and skills and knowledge in several languages, including: MS Visual Basic, Borland Delphi, PHP, Python.
  • Extensive experience with Internet and its different services since 1995
  • Very Good working experience in trouble shooting computer problems; software and hardware based.
  • Started working with Linux (and alternative Operating Systems) since October 2000.

Toastmasters Experience:

  • Joined Toastmasters International in July 2006.
  • A member of two toastmasters clubs.
  • Served in several executive committees including Sergeant-at-Arms and Vice President Public Relations.
  • Served as a President of both clubs for the term January 2008-June 2008.
  • Currently serving as an Area Governor Looking after 4 clubs for the term July 2008-June 2009.
  • Helped coach the first arab toastmater to win the the Bahrain championship. He became the first arab to win in the middle east and semi final levels. He ultimately reached the world finals and became one of the top 10 speakers in the world.

Skills:

  • Good managerial and communication skills.
  • A team player and a team leader. Can lead a team of any size to desired targets.
  • Excellent working attitude, hard worker, responsible in task assigned, open minded, willing to learn new ideas and fast learner.
